Lindsie Verma was born in rural Michigan where she found true love in preschool with her gay best friend. Her adult life has been in direct contrast to her small-town upbringing: she went to college to study Mandarin Chinese, met and subsequently married a man from India (and has come to terms with the fact that he is, indeed, a straight man), and now lives near San Francisco where, though she is a child of the 80s, she pretends she was a child of the 60s.
