The 11.11.11 Project – One day on Earth

For the second consecutive year the world’s largest film collaboration, ‘One Day On Earth’, will take place on 11/11/11.
And this year, the GUSMEN team has decided to join it.
And perhaps you would like to as well?

ONE DAY ON EARTH began in September 2008 as a new media project to create a unique videotime capsule, global online community and feature length film – all from participant footage captured during a 24-hour period. This project is based on a shared archive community, allowing all participants to use and edit the footage to show their interpretation of the world.

The United Nations, 60+ NGOs, filmmakers and other inspired media creators from every country in the world is welcome to participate and share their unique perspective footage with a big worldwide community.
You can also join the project, whoever you are: a filmmaker, a student, a humanitarian aid worker, a member of your community or simply another inspired person.

Last year, on 10/10/10, the project was able to achieve participation from every country in the world, and created an accessible archive of diverse video, which is being used to sculpt a documentary feature film set to be released in early 2012.

Through its website, which is also a social network, the project works closely with its non-profit partners to provide cause-based calls-to-action to film on a variety of topics, including poverty, gender equality, and human rights.

The project includes groups of filmmakers collaborating around themes, such as child birth, sports, music, and also technique including time-lapse photography and underwaterfilming.
