Tommy Hilfiger opened its European flagship store in London’s historic Knightsbridge, at 63-65 Brompton Road, SW3. The store, located amidst a premium mix of retailers in the heart of one of Europe’s most prestigious shopping areas, will be the brand’s third largest store in Europe.
As one of London’s earliest established fashionable shopping locations, Brompton Road is internationally recognized as a destination for design, architecture and culture, dating back to the Great Exhibition of 1851, after which the impressive shopping streets that make up Knightsbridge were first built. Beyond the flagship’s late Victorian fac?ade, which originates from 1903, the store will reflect the brand’s signature classic, American, cool aesthetic.
The 770 square meter interior space, which covers two floors, will echo the refined elegance of the brand’s New York, Fifth Avenue global flagship store with polished walnut fixtures and oak flooring. The men’s Runway, Sportswear and Hilfiger Denim collections will be showcased on the ground floor along with the Tailored line, which will make its debut in the United Kingdom. The area will be atmospheric with a vintage drapers table, antique furniture, and will include a dedicated area for men’s accessories.
A round glass elevator leads up to the first floor, where the women’s Runway, Sportswear and Childrenswear collections will be presented with a separate area for accessories.
To commemorate the opening, the store will feature an exclusive product offering and upscale retail services that echo the brand’s other London anchor store on Regent street, in addition to varying bi-weekly complimentary activities and shopping nights.
