Victorinox Swiss Army, makers of Swiss Army Knives and time pieces unveiled the redesigned Dive Master 500 collection.
A lot of people who love to dive almost naturally tend to get hooked on to the Victorinox Dive Master 500. It’s one of those diver’s watches that naturally look good whether one is underwater in the company of nature’s otherworldly beauty or out of the water in plain sight for everyone to see.
The Dive Master 500 comes in either 38 mm or 43 mm diameter stainless steel cases – treated with either Black Ice or gold PVD. There are four 38 mm quartz models: black, burgundy, khaki green (with gold PVD…). As its case is made of fine stainless steel, that makes the entire timepiece a bit more durable compared to other diving watches that are of the same caliber. The round case itself is PVD-coated and has that distinguished silver tone to it.
This watch has luminous indices to mark the position of each hour on the watch. This is a pretty useful feature especially when visibility underwater is quite poor and when there isn’t a lot of natural light. The indices are silver-toned to make it much more visible especially during a dive and the same is true for the minute and second hands.
The dial on the Dive Master 500 has minute markers that are printed on the outside rim along with the 24-hour GMT time scale to tell the world time. The entire face of this timepiece is shielded by a sapphire crystal, which is both anti-reflective and scratch resistant.
This diver’s watch is secured on the user’s wrist using a comfortable fitting blue rubber band that can be easily adjusted. The band is secured by a buckle clasp. The timepiece itself is water resistant up to a depth of 500 meters or around 1,650 feet.
